Tour Overview

This wine tasting in Bordeaux tour takes you through the main city sights and explores the different varieties of wine and their production while we journey through the fascinating history of the region. We will enjoy different wine varieties at various fabulous wine bars dotted around town as we learn about the city’s rich past. Starting from the Roman days to the Middle Ages when wine trading was booming, we’ll continue through to the Nazi occupation during WWII up until today, as the city continues to transform and grow, enriched with culture and grapes. We will end our wine wandering with some tapas, enjoying a barrel of laughs and some local gourmet specialties.

We still walk if it is raining! We do our best to stop in sheltered areas to speak and often will have some spare umbrellas or even ponchos for sale if the rain seems unrelenting.
